Privacy Policy
Hyperliquid CopyTrader (“the extension”, “we”, “us”) is built privacy-first. This page describes what we collect, what we don’t, and how you control it.
1. What we collect
By default, almost nothing. The extension functions fully without any account or sign-up.
- Anonymous usage metrics — page views inside the extension, feature usage counts, and errors. Tied to a random device ID, never to you personally. You can opt out at Settings → Privacy.
- Crash reports — anonymous stack traces when the extension crashes. Used only to fix bugs.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Private keys, seed phrases, or any wallet credentials.
- Personally identifiable information (PII).
- Browsing history outside of the extension.
- Content of any websites you visit.
- Email, name, or contact details — unless you choose to create an optional sync account.
3. Optional account & cloud sync
If you opt into a sync account, we store your email (hashed), a hashed password, your synced settings, your followed traders list, and your paper-trade simulations. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Where data is stored
- On your device — All paper-trade simulations, followed traders, and settings live in
chrome.storage.localunless you opt into sync. - On our servers — Only if you opted into account / sync. Hosted in the EU. Encrypted at rest.
- Hyperliquid public API — The extension fetches public leaderboard and position data from
api.hyperliquid.xyz. No personal information is included in those requests. - Arbitrum public RPC endpoints — Fallback for reading on-chain state. Read-only, no transactions are submitted.
5. Cookies & third parties
The extension itself uses no cookies. We do not integrate Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising or behavioral trackers anywhere in the product.
6. Permissions explained
storage— To save your preferences and followed wallets locally.alarms— To refresh leaderboard data periodically in the background.notifications— To alert you when a followed wallet opens or closes a position (opt-in).sidePanel— To display live positions alongside other browser activity.- Host permissions on
api.hyperliquid.xyz,stats-data.hyperliquid.xyz, and Arbitrum RPCs — All read-only, returning JSON data. No code is downloaded or executed.
7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@hyperliqtrade.com. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We will notify you both inside the extension and on this page at least 14 days before any material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
